I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
